House in Saintes-Maries-De-La-Mer with Furnished Terrace

This fisherman’s house is in the village of Saintes Marie de la Mer, ideally situated, just 100 metres from the sea and 50 metres from the old town.

It is an old wooden fisherman’s house, which has been completely renovated and furnished and decorated with attention to detail and a personal note. The living space of around 100m² is on two floors. The ground floor has a generous, inviting living room with an open kitchen, as well as a double bedroom and a bathroom. The open gallery above has a 28m² mezzanine with a double bed and two single beds, as well as an office corner with a desk.

Outside there is a comfortable, furnished terrace with the possibility to grill. Behind the house there is also an interior courtyard with a practical outdoor shower, which is very pleasant when you return from sunbathing on the beach. It is also possible to hang washing up to dry here. If you need a dryer then there is a launderette about 50 metres away. The holiday house has a washing machine. You can park by the house or park free of charge about 50 metres away.

This fisherman’s house has preserved its original, typical charm. It is close to the centre of Saintes Marie de la Mer and also near the long sandy beaches. Saintes Marie de la Mer is amidst the Camargue nature reserve and charms its guests with the authenticity of a fishing village, as well as with its protected and unique nature.

Visitors can visit the fortress church Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer, a gem of Romanesque architecture in the centre of the village. The nearby Camargue nature reserve provides plenty to explore with its interesting and diverse flora and fauna. All in all, Saintes Marie de la Mer and the region offers its guests a wide range of leisure activities, such as sports, culture and tourist attractions. According to legend, Marie Jacobé, Marie Salomé and their servant Sarah, persecuted Christians fleeing from Palestine, reached this place by boat at the time of the rise of Christianity. They became its name givers and patron saints. Visitors to Saintes Marie de la Mer can rediscover the grand church anew every time, bathed in different light and exuding a wealth of emotions and impressions.

    “Liebevoll eingerichtetes, gut ausgestattetes Haus, besticht zudem mit einer tollen Lage, wenige Gehminuten an den sehr schönen Strandstrand und nur 50 Meter bis zur belebten Einkaufsstraße mit Restaurants... Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.”
